Thanks to being lost in Pinterest one evening I saw step by
step instructions for making fortune cookies.
Really, one can make them in their kitchen? That was what went through my head. Of course I could, it looked simple. I gathered supplies including finally having
a really good reason to need a silpat. I
don't regret getting it either. It took
me weeks to get to finally make them and I was thinking they'd make fun
valentines. Well Sam fell in love with
them and the idea. So his valentines
were born. Granted I did all the work
but that is nothing new. I can now say I
have successfully learned how to make fortune cookies and honestly it's not
that hard. Sam loved delivering them as
well. (new blog version is driving me nuts!)

Cooking up the last bunch, a bit sloppy by that point. |

These could be little pacman guys! |

Slips that were inside the fortunes. |

All packaged and ready to go. |

Holding his box of goods. He really was excited even if it doesn't look it. :) Dog bite on the cheek and all! |

They turned out so good! I had fun making them, too - this makes me want to try them again sometime. That's such a fun idea for custom valentines.
Wow, you make me want to try... How fun!
So THAT's what you were making them for! miss creative :o) maybe one day I will be creative with Valentines....and then maybe not. I better do it now before all my kids are in school because that would be a whole lotta work!
